Africa in the Ammergau…
"The sheer joy of living" is what the Friedel family of the Parkhotel Bayersoien wants to inspire in their guests. The couple probably experienced this joy already in their youth, during their extensive travels across the African continent. Right on the spot, the doctor and beginning lawyer decided to open a spa hotel in their Bavarian home to bring this joy and passion to their guests. Among picturesque scenery, right at the shore of the Soier See lake and with a view of the Ammergau Alps, the Parkhotel Bayersoien offers everything needed for an enjoyable holiday – arts and cultural events, a variety of active sports, competent medical consultations, alpine wellness and of course lots of Africa in the Ammergau.
All five senses feel the Black Continent's presence in the house: From the sauna world "Amani Spa" with its typically African wellness treatments to the "African Lounge" with specialties from the cape including degustations of wine and concerts by African musicians. Bathing in the 10,000 year old mountain pine moor, relaxing in the separate spa area exclusively reserved for guests of F.-X.-Mayr, or consulting the medical wellness team of ten, the reasons why the Parkhotel Bayersoien is among the most popular hotels in Bavaria are obvious.

The Parkhotel Bayersoien is situated in the Bavarian city of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The quiet location next to the spa gardens provides a magnificent view over the adjacent Lake Soier See and the Ammergau Alps. In summertime, the lake offers all kinds of water sports activities. In winter, the frozen lake offers various ice skating tracks and the snow-covered mountains provide hundreds of ski tracks for each level.
