Discover child-friendly outdoor activities in the Hörnerkette Nature Reserve

As a guest to the Neusch family’s hotel, you’ll be able to choose from a wide variety of outdoor activities – including a petting zoo, stables, children’s playground, tennis, basketball and football.  Many of the walking routes lead you through the Hörnekette Nature Reserve with several being easy enough to take the younger members of the family. Lage und Anfahrt
Environment

The hotel is located at a height of 1,200m in the World Cup skiing resort of Ofterschwang, in the heart of the Hörnerkette Nature Reserve.

Arrival by car

From the direction of Stuttgart and Munich, take the exit off the A7 at Kempten. Then take the B19 towards Oberstdorf and exit at Blaichach on to the OA5 towards Blaichach. Just after Blaichach, turn right at the junction towards Gunzesried and continue up the windy road. Just before you reach Gunzesried, turn left on to the Allgäuer Berghof Panoramastraße (hotel guests have free access). After about 3.5km, you’ll see the Allgäuer Berghof hotel. If you’re visiting between October and April, you’ll need to use snow chains on your tyres.

If you are using a sat nav: Please add the destination Gunzesried, which is a district of Blaichach. Activate the sat nav to allow toll roads so that it takes you via the Berghof toll road. If your sat nav doesn’t recognise Alpe Eck 2, please put in the alternative address of Kapf 9 and follow the toll road up to the hotel. Don’t put in Ofterschwang as a destination because there’s no direct access from Ofterschwang (despite being suggested by the sat nav).

Arrival by train

We advise guests arriving by train to travel to either Immenstadt or Sonthofen. There are taxis available to take you to the Allgäuer Berghof hotel.
