Algae therapy - a wellness treatment using ingredients from the sea to revitalise the skin

Algae therapy consists of baths and body wraps as well as complementary wellness treatments using products that contain algae. Algae have a high density of minerals. For example, they contain amino acids, mineral salts, trace elements and vitamins. Algae are the sea’s own beauty creator with algae being used in a wealth of cosmetic treatments and in treatments which target problematic skin.

Generally algae therapy commences with a bath in a professional hydrotherapy bath tub. The warm sea water containing algae additives loosen the muscles and the skin pores become more receptive. This is followed by a body wrap containing algae, allowing the body to sweat, strengthening the immune system. This method helps with circulation problems, muscular fatigue and fat stores. It is believed that algae therapy has a cleansing effect because it helps detoxify through the skin. In addition the skin is able to absorb trace elements that rejuvenate the skin. The precious algae ingredients also strengthen the immune system and help stimulate the metabolism and circulation. It also helps improve vitality. Algae can also be taken internally in the form of an algae drink, like tea or in capsule form. These also have a detoxifying and revitalising effect on the body and can soothe and moisturise an irritated or dry skin.
