Bavarian sociability at the Großer Arber mountain…
The Wellness-Hotel Riedlberg has been family-owned for almost a century. Once a simple country guesthouse at the foothills of the Großer Arber in the Bavarian Forest, it has become a high-quality and yet cosy holiday domicile that satisfies both hikers and skiers and wellness guests looking for regeneration. Light-coloured wood and warm colours cater for a home-like atmosphere, the furnishings are rural style and of high quality.
The quiet detached location of the hotel, which disposes of a large amount of land with own ski lift and a children- and beginner-friendly cross-country ski run right next to the hotel, makes the Riedlberg an ideal starting point for outdoor activities. There is only one narrow road that winds the one kilometre from the village along the edge of the forest that leads to the hotel, meaning eyes and ears can enjoy unknown tranquillity. The view outside is paradisiacal: Dark fir-tree green, behind meadows gently falling into the valley - the silhouette of bizarre hill constellations of the Bavarian Forest covered by fog in the distance.
Unpretentious, casual, family-like – that’s the way the owners and staff act: When the evenings are long and the programmes on the television are boring, then the guests are welcome to use the hotel “parlour” for playing games, having a chat and listening to music in good company.
The Riedelberg wellness hotel offers approximately 1,600 m² of wellness with a panorama indoor pool, fitness and gymnastic room, conservatory, salt mine, sauna, massage and cosmetic area. The Riedlberg Spa as well as the hotel’s fitness rooms have just been renovated. The outdoor pool is now open throughout the year:
