Wellness holidays in Lower Saxony Germany - Discovering the North Sea and the Harz

Lower Saxony is the second biggest state in Germany. Visitors here mostly appreciate the diversity of the landscape. The islands Juist and Norderney are for example part of the German federal state.

Refreshing breeze at the German North Sea

Especially in summer many tourists worship the fresh climate at the North Sea with its native nature. Beautiful beaches and the typical frisian cosiness assure that guests recover from their everyday stress and enjoy their vacation to the fullest.

One can go by ferry to the picturesque island Juist. Here the only thing you have to keep in mind is that the ferry only goes 2 times a day and is depending on the tides. Arriving on the island the only noise you hear is hoofbeats as there are no cars allowed. Without big effort guests easily can access wellness hotels by foot. Juist is especially suitable for families as there are not only plenty of fun adult activities like spa treatments but also activities especially for children.

Norderney is the neighbour island of Juist and tourists here can stroll through the pretty city centre or enjoy a cocktail at a beach bar. A real highlight when taking timeouts at the North Sea is the opportunity to enjoy Thalasso spa treatments.

But of course the Lower Saxony region has also beautiful regions, which are not at the sea. Cities like Hannover, Oldenburg, Braunschweig and Osnabrück are definitely always worth a visit.

Hikes and spa treatments in the 'Harz' region excite with granite cliffs, old trees and small streams. Home of the 'Brocken', the biggest mountain of Germany the area is perfect for wanderers and hikers.
