The Birke Wellness Hotel is conveniently located in a nature-oriented part of the city of Kiel. The regional capital of Schleswig-Holstein is also known to sailing fans due to its regatta “Kieler Woche” that has been taking place since the 19th century. Typical for Kiel is the “Kiel fjord” that was formed in the Ice Age, where the entry to the North-Baltic Sea channel can be found. The hilly landscape of the Holsteinische Schweiz begins right next to Kiel.
