The Friedel family of the Wellnesshotel Parkhotel am Soier See in Bavaria in the beautiful village of Bad Bayersoin would like to awaken "the pure joy of life" in their guests. The couple themselves were once motivated by this desire when they travelled the African continent all over the world in their early years. And without further ado, the doctor and the prospective lawyer decided to open a spa hotel at home in Upper Bavaria, where they could pass on this passion and inspiration to their guests. In a picturesque landscape, directly on Lake Soier See and with a view of the Ammergau Alps, the Parkhotel am Soier See today offers the prospect of an all-round relaxing holiday - with art and culture, a wide range of sports activities, competent medical advice, Alpine wellness and, of course, lots of Africa in the Ammergau.
You can feel the Black Continent with all five senses in the house: from the sauna world "Amani Spa" and its wellness treatments typical for Africa to the "African Lounge" with Cape Malaysian specialities, wine tastings and concerts of African bands. Of course, there are just as many wellness treatments typical for the region on the programme. TERMS OF SERVICE. (of 08/2018)
1. Hotel accommodation contract
The contract is concluded as soon as the room has been ordered and confirmed, or if a confirmation is no longer possible due to lack of time, as soon as the room has been prepared.
2. Cancellation by the hotel
The hotel may withdraw from the contract, and particular cancel the reservation (e.g. of a certain room), if carry out the contract becomes impossible due to unforeseen or other similar circumstances - e.g. burst water pipe, fire, strike.
The hotel undertakes to inform the contract partner immediately, i.e. without delay, about the non-availability of the reserved rooms and to immediately refund any payments already made by the contract partner.
The hotel may also cancel a reservation if, after consultation with the competent authority, it has reasonable grounds to believe that the security or public image of the hotel is at risk.
3. Cancellation by the guest
The guest is obliged to pay the agreed or usual room price for the duration of the contract. This also applies if the room is not used.
Guests can cancel their room up to 3 nights prior to arrival free of charge. If the guest has planned a longer stay, and after consultation with us, the guest can cancel up to 2 weeks before arrival free of charge. After this time the guest is obliged to pay 80% of the contractually agreed price for overnight stays - with or without breakfast or the "Pamper Me" package - to the hotel. Parkhotel makes every effort to allocate unoccupied rooms elsewhere if possible in order to avoid cancellations. The guest has to pay the calculated amount for the duration of the contract until the room has been re-booked by another guest.
3.1. Complete cancellation of conferences
The customer can cancel up to 6 weeks before arrival free of charge.
After this time the customer will be charged:
4 – 6 weeks before the start of the event: 40% of the contracted price
2 – 4 weeks before the start of the event: 60% of the contracted price
1 week before the start of the event : 80% of the contracted price
3.2. Partial cancellation at conferences
Between 3 - 4 weeks before the start of the event, up to 20% of the booked and confirmed rooms can be canceled free of charge. Additional cancellations and no-shows will be charged at 80% of the agreed room rate.
Parkhotel makes every effort to allocate unused rooms elsewhere if possible in order to avoid cancellations. Until the room is re-allocated, the customer must pay the calculated amount for the duration of the contract.
4. Group bookings
In order to ensure an orderly procedure for group bookings (from 8 persons), the customer is obliged to make the list of participants available to the hotel 7 days before the group's arrival. The customer does not have any claim to the provision of certain hotel rooms or functional rooms. If agreed rooms or functional rooms are not available, the hotel is obliged to provide an equivalent replacement (including outside of the hotel, provided this is possible).
If more than 10 rooms have been reserved, a deposit of 50 % of the booked fixed services is due with the booking.
5. Prices
The agreed prices include the respective statutory VAT. If the period between contract and service order exceeds four months, the hotel reserves the right to increase the contractually agreed price appropriately, but not by more than 5% without prior notice.
6. Invoicing
Invoices of the hotel without due date are payable without deduction within 10 days from receipt of the invoice. From the 11th day onwards, the biller will charge interest at the usual bank rate. Please note that payment with EC card and PIN as well as the usual credit cards (except Diners) is possible. For individual bookings, the room must be paid on site (at the latest on the day of departure).
7. Room reservation
Booked rooms are available to the guest from 3:00 p.m. on the agreed arrival date. On the day of departure, the rooms must be vacated by 12:00 p.m. at the latest. For additional use of the room on the day of departure until 06:00 p.m., 50% of the full price will be charged. In case of additional use of the room after 6 p.m. the full price has to be paid.

Location and Directions
Our wellness hotel is located
The wellness hotel is located in Bavaria in the Upper Bavarian district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in a quiet location by the spa gardens and directly on the picturesque Soier See lake with a view of the Ammergau Alps. In summer the waters offer every kind of water sports, in winter they turn into huge ice skating rinks and the forests can be explored by ski on the numerous cross-country trails. During the day the beautiful landscape invites you to cycle, hike, play golf or go on excursions worth seeing.
Arrival with car
In case you´re coming by car there are free parking lots around the house, even an underground garage is for a small fee available. Therefore we kindly ask for a reservation in advance.
Arrival with train
If you travel by train, the nearest station is Murnau (ICE) or Saulgrub. The rail ride from Murnau to Saulgrub is considered to be one of the most beautiful routes of Europe. Shuttle from Saulgrub to Bad Bayersoien on demand - free of charge.
Arrival with plane
The closest airports are Munich, Innsbruck (Austria) and Memmingen.
