FAQ´s Wellness and Spa

… maybe we have the answer for you

You should get in touch with your hotel early. No booking agency knows offers better than the hotel’s staff: They’ll be happy to explain to you all the details of the treatments in question. Just tell them what you expect from your wellness-vacation and they’ll propose suitable treatments. This contact with your hotel will also give you an impression of its service quality.

Unfortunately, this is not always possible. During the peak tourist months, many treatments may be fully booked. Inform your hotel as early as possible about your wishes and preferences. At the very latest when checking in. Very important treatments should be reserved in advance. Thus you can be sure that you won’t have to miss out on anything, especially when you’re planning to stay only a few days or for a weekend.

Many guests favor a tranquil atmosphere which should be respected. However, it is perfectly normal for visitors to spend a lot of time in the pleasant spa atmosphere and want to have a conversation. This has already been the case in Rome and Greece, homes to the spa culture. Visitors should therefore try to find a middle way between these two needs. Your wellness-hotel facilitates this by providing a bistro in its spa area. With your bathrobe on, you can feel free to have a snack and enjoy chatting with your friends. However, cell phones and tobacco are never allowed in the spa area.

In principle: yes. But during peak periods of traffic, the hotel has to make an exception to that rule. During your massage, your therapist, regardless of their sex, keeps your entire body draped and only undrapes that portion that is being massaged.

Just wear what you find suitable and comfortable. In many hotels and resorts, you’ll find bathrobes in your rooms. Sauna and massage will require undressing. Pools, jacuzzi and hot tubs demand bathing suits.

During your stay, you’ll always have access to the pool area (pool, sauna and so forth). Individually booked offers such as massages or beauty treatments are time-bound. Some resorts provide certain treatments on limited days, so please discuss your wishes with your hotel before your arrival.

You can enjoy as many offers as you like. But remember: wellness-vacation should help you to relax and not be the cause of extra stress; true to the motto "less is more".

Bring whatever you find suitable and helpful to have a pleasant stay: body care products, non-skid flip-flops, comfortable clothes for yoga and relaxation exercises, something to read, etc. Many resorts have their proper spa-shops where you can buy whatever you need.

There is always a safe in your room or at the reception desk, where you can keep all personal valuables. Many hotels provide storing facilities at their spa-reception too.

On your first day, you should arrive early to familiarize yourself with the surroundings. You may want to take a relaxing shower, or try the Jacuzzi tub before seeing your therapist. For your treatment you should arrive 5 to 10 minutes early. If you would like to use the sauna first, you should ask your therapist in advance to make sure it doesn’t conflict with your treatment.

If you arrive late, the treatment will be accordingly shorter. It’ll have to end in time so that the next client won’t have to wait.

The time you book is reserved for you only. If you have to reschedule or cancel an appointment on short notice, the hotel might still have to charge you the session’s fee.

Currently there are no restrictions in the hotels. The partner hotels of Wellness Hotels & Resorts have maintained their high hygiene standards and ensure a high level of safety. If you have any signs of illness yourself, please contact the hotel you have booked before your arrival.
