- Live in the moment: Try to resist the urge to cram your day with as much as possible. Instead, why not try unitasking? Buddhist monks have perfected this ability – for example when working in the Zen garden.
- Change your perspective: “You are going to be tomorrow what you think today,” said Buddha. Exaggerated self-doubts only weaken the ego. To look at yourself objectively, as if through the eyes of someone else, is a good way to reflect on yourself.
- Cope with worries differently: Instead of thinking about yesterday’s problems, learn to detach those negative thoughts from your past and focus on doing it better in the future. The Zen Buddhism philosophy teaches us that it is a waste of time to torture yourself with dark thoughts.

Start off your day at an open window. Take a deep breath and breath out loudly to the vowels ‘a’, ‘e’, ‘i’, ‘o’, ‘u’. This way you do not only take in a lot of oxygen but get rid of carbon dioxide, which is a by-product that results from cell renewal.
Regular endurance sport helps preventing headaches: Relaxed walking and regular cycling or swimming prevents migraines and can even ease the pain of tension headaches.
Start off your day with an energy boost: Stand up straight, place your feet in one line with your hips and shoulders, slightly bend your knees, stand on your tiptoes and stretch for a long time. As you are doing this, lift your arms sideways up to shoulder height, with your palms facing up. Repeat this exercise three times every morning and start your day!
