General Terms and Conditions for the Hotel Industry (AGBH 2006)
§ 1 Scope
1.1 These General Terms and Conditions for the Hotel Industry (“AGBH 2006”) replace the previous ÖHVB version dated 23 September 1981.
1.2 The AGBH 2006 do not exclude special agreements. In case of individual agreements, the latter take precedence over these terms.
§ 2 Definitions

“Accommodation provider”: A natural or legal person providing accommodation to guests for payment.

“Guest”: A natural person using accommodation services. The guest is usually also the contractual partner.

“Contractual partner”: A natural or legal person concluding an accommodation contract for themselves or others.

“Consumer” / “Entrepreneur”: As defined under the Austrian Consumer Protection Act.

“Accommodation contract”: The contract concluded between provider and contractual partner, including the terms defined below.
§ 3 Conclusion of contract – Deposit
3.1 The accommodation contract is concluded upon acceptance of the booking by the provider.
3.2 The provider may require a deposit before confirming the booking. If agreed, the contract is concluded once the deposit confirmation is received.
3.3 The deposit must be paid within 7 days before arrival. Bank fees are borne by the guest.
3.4 The deposit is part of the total agreed price.
§ 4 Start and end of stay
4.1 Rooms are available from 4:00 p.m. on the arrival day.
4.2 Early check-in before 6:00 a.m. counts as an additional night.
4.3 Rooms must be vacated by 12:00 noon on departure day; otherwise an additional day may be charged.
§ 5 Cancellation – Cancellation fees
Cancellation by provider may occur if deposit is not paid or guest does not arrive by 6:00 p.m. unless otherwise agreed.
Cancellation by guest:

up to 1 week: 70%

last week: 90%
5.7 No fee applies if arrival is impossible due to force majeure (e.g., extreme weather).
5.8 Payment obligation resumes once arrival becomes possible within 3 days.
§ 6 Replacement accommodation
The provider may offer equivalent accommodation if necessary (e.g., overbooking, maintenance). Additional costs are borne by the provider.
§ 7 Guest rights
Guests may use rented rooms and general hotel facilities according to house rules.
§ 8 Guest obligations
Guests must pay the agreed price by departure, including additional services and VAT. Guests are liable for any damage caused.
§ 9 Rights of the provider
The provider may retain guest belongings or claim a lien in case of unpaid bills. Special services may be charged separately.
§ 10 Provider obligations
The provider must deliver agreed services according to hotel standards. Extra services (e.g., spa, sauna) may be charged separately.
§ 11 Liability for guest belongings
The hotel is liable only under specific legal conditions and limits (generally up to statutory limits). No liability for slight negligence in certain cases.
§ 12 Liability limitations
Liability for slight negligence is excluded (especially for business guests), except for personal injury.
§ 13 Pets
Pets require prior approval and may be subject to fees. They are not allowed in dining or wellness areas.
§ 14 Extension of stay
No automatic right to extend stay. Extensions require hotel approval. In cases of force majeure, stay may be extended automatically.
§ 15 Termination of contract
Early departure does not reduce payment obligations. The provider may terminate the contract for important reasons (misconduct, non-payment, illness risk, etc.).
§ 16 Illness or death of guest
The hotel may arrange medical care if necessary. Guests are responsible for resulting costs (medical treatment, cleaning, damages, etc.).
§ 17 Jurisdiction and applicable law
Austrian law applies. Jurisdiction is generally the hotel’s location, with exceptions for consumers in other EU countries.
§ 18 Miscellaneous
Rules on deadlines, offsetting claims, and legal gaps apply according to Austrian law.

Location and Directions
Our wellness hotel is located
The Romantik® Hotel Im Weissen Rössl is located in St. Wolfgang in Upper Austria, in the heart of the Salzkammergut region. Its direct position on Lake Wolfgang offers a spectacular combination of mountain and lakeside scenery in a peaceful yet central setting. Thanks to its proximity to Salzburg and Bad Ischl, it is both easily accessible and an ideal starting point for excursions throughout the region.
Arrival with car
Mit dem Auto erreicht man das Hotel am einfachsten über die A1 Westautobahn in Richtung Salzburg. Von der Ausfahrt Mondsee fährt man weiter über die B154 und anschließend die B158 Richtung Strobl und St. Wolfgang. Der Ort St. Wolfgang ist weitgehend verkehrsberuhigt, daher erfolgt die Anfahrt bis in die Nähe des Zentrums, wo Parkmöglichkeiten bzw. Hotelservice zur Verfügung stehen. Alternativ kann auch ein Teil der Strecke per Schiff über den Wolfgangsee zurückgelegt werden, was eine besonders stimmungsvolle Anreise ermöglicht.
Arrival with train
Travel by train is via Salzburg Central Station or Bad Ischl. From Salzburg, bus line 150 runs regularly toward Strobl and St. Gilgen. From there, you can continue by bus or by boat with the Wolfgangsee shipping service to St. Wolfgang. The final leg of the journey is particularly scenic, as it takes you directly across the lake and offers a beautiful view of the hotel.
Arrival with plane
The nearest airport is Salzburg (SZG), which is approximately one hour from Lake Wolfgang. From there, you can continue your journey to St. Wolfgang by rental car, taxi, or public transport. Alternatively, the airports in Munich (approx. 2.5–3 hours away) and Vienna (approx. 3 hours away) also offer excellent international connections, with onward travel by train or car.
