Wellness dictionary

Little ABC for your spa-break questions ...

In their treatment discriptions, wellness hotels often use technical terms, which are hard to understand for potential guests. We have therefore collected and defined the most relevant terms in our small wellness ABC. A tip: Our wellness dictionary also supports word requests. You don't need to know the exact wording.

LaStone Therapy

What is the procedure for a LaStone massage?

LaStone therapy uses both, cold and hot stones to massage the body.  In alternation, the cold and hot stones are placed on the body and stimulate the circulatory and lympathic systems and even detox our bodies. LaStone therapies are known to relief pain and to ease tense muscles. Even though the thought of cold stones on your body might not seem very appealing at first, they do feel very nice on your pre-warmed skin. The warm stones are heated to 50°C and overall, up to 40 different stones are used during a LaStone therapy.

Before applying the stones to the body, aromatic oils are applied on the skin and relaxing music is played. The combination of stones and massage guarantees an unforgettable relaxation experience.
