We have therefore collected and defined the most relevant terms in our small wellness ABC. A tip: Our wellness dictionary also supports word requests. You don't need to know the exact wording.

Neck affusion

Neck affusion: What does this application from Kneipp therapy do?

Water is applied to the neck until a reaction is caused on the skin. This treatment can be conducted with hot or cold water. Not matter for which temperature you decide, you can easily do it at home. All it takes is a bathtub and a shower hose.

How do I conduct a Kneipp water therapy at home?

Knee down in front of the bathtub and lean your upper body forward. Use your hands for support. The water jet should be heated from 35° to 43°C. Start pointing the water stream at the sixth thoracic vertebrae so a water mantle covers your neck.  Move your head carefully to loosen tense muscles. After 12 to 15 minutes stop the water. Your skin should be red by now.  Dry your skin and apply some amber-oil. You should rest and keep your neck warm. A good place to do so is in bed.

What effects does a Kneipp water cure have?

This treatment is especially useful for people suffering from neck pain, tensions, headaches as well as shoulder pain.Do not conduct a Kneipp water cure on your own if you suffer from high blood pressure, thyroid disorders, glaucoma or cataract without consulting your doctor before.
