Sanarium - what is it?
The sanarium is a variation of the traditional Finnish sauna. It can be classified between the classic hot and dry sauna and steam baths.
How does a sanarium work?
The sanarium can be described as a "gentle" low-temperature sauna with approx. 50% humidity and temperatures around 60° C. For this reason, it is particularly suitable for sauna beginners. The stay is also tolerated by people who do not like the classic sauna. Infusions with various essential oils and aromas support the feeling of well-being during a visit to the sanarium. In addition, coloured light therapy is often used, which has an additional positive influence on the feeling of well-being with the help of the power of colours.
What does Sanarium mean?
Sanarium is a registered trademark of the Klafs company. It stands for a special sauna model for which the company has applied for a patent. Colloquially, the terms sanarium and biosauna are often used synonymously.
Length of stay in the sanarium?
The length of stay in the sauna should not exceed 30 minutes. A visit to the sanarium has numerous positive effects on the entire body. For example, the heat promotes the mobility of muscles and joints, strengthens the immune system and has a relaxing effect on the lungs and bronchial tubes. Furthermore, the special climate in a sanarium lowers blood pressure and cares for the skin. A visit to the sanarium cleanses the skin, stores moisture better and supports the absorption of minerals and nutrients.

However, there are also physical illnesses for which a visit to the sanarium should be avoided. These include:
