Wellness dictionary

Little ABC for your spa-break questions ...

In their treatment discriptions, wellness hotels often use technical terms, which are hard to understand for potential guests. We have therefore collected and defined the most relevant terms in our small wellness ABC. A tip: Our wellness dictionary also supports word requests. You don't need to know the exact wording.

Clay therapy

This local clay treatment stimulates the blood circulation, metabolism, digestion and the lymphatic system. It is applied by a therapist depending on the problem area; as a cool pack for inflammation or as a warm pack for tight muscles. If they are applied regularly (a minimum of five treatments in a row is recommended) the blood circulation will improve and therefore the oxygen supply, functionality of the tissue and joints will also improve.

Moreover, it can detox, deacidify the whole organism, stabilize, strengthen, help rheumatic and degenerative illnesses, and ease skin and varicose vein problems. It is a supportive lymphatic training to increase the vitality and encourages the body’s own resistance.
