Wellness dictionary

Little ABC for your spa-break questions ...

In their treatment discriptions, wellness hotels often use technical terms, which are hard to understand for potential guests. We have therefore collected and defined the most relevant terms in our small wellness ABC. A tip: Our wellness dictionary also supports word requests. You don't need to know the exact wording.

Private Spa

What is a Private Spa?

Anyone who wants to experience wellness treatments individually and undisturbed can retire to a private spa, either alone or with a partner. Such exclusive premises are available in more and more good wellness hotels. They often have their own saunas or whirlpools; qualified staff carry out sophisticated wellness ceremonies and bathing rituals there according to the guests' wishes.

Private spa for two: What makes this wellness break so special?

The special thing about the private spa is that couples or friends seeking relaxation find a room just for themselves. Far away from the other guests, they enjoy a quiet time out in the Private Spa. Depending on the wellness hotel, the Private Spas are differently equipped and can be rented for different lengths of time. Time-outs in the Private Spa are also gladly given away for special occasions such as birthdays or anniversaries.

Equipment in the Private Spa

The Private Spa is a separate room in the wellness area, which can be equipped in a variety of ways. This can include, for example:

  • Sauna like Finnish sauna or bio sauna
  • steam bath
  • massage shower
  • jacuzzi
  • pool
  • treatment table
  • tea bar
  • daybed
