Watch the waves play in the spray area of Norderney
The Spa and Resorthotel Georgshöhe is to be found in the most exclusive location of the North Sea island of Norderney, directly at the long beach and at the same time, only three minutes from the city centre. This is where the waves of the North Sea break and enrich the air intensively with the active agents of the sea – beneficial for the air passages and the entire organism. In the well-known 4-star superior house, the hotel owner, Karl-Heinz Sigges, has created a luxury resort that provides a variety of sport and wellness facilities across 8000 square metres, which also unites all of the benefits of a self-run family business.
The rooms fulfil the highest of demands when it comes to classic comfort, modern design and functionality. The spa, wellness and fitness area offers such a variety making the hotel a top-class facility in this sector. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools are filled with purified sea water by means of the hotel’s own supply pipe – ideal for thalassotherapy. Oriental ghasala mud treatment, Turkish lather massage on the warm Hamam massage table or Far Eastern massage – the potpourri of treatment is multifarious. Saunas, sweatboxes, a laconium and relaxing rooms provide a sea view. The fitness rooms reveal a huge selection of professional equipment. Trainers accompany the guests with a fitness test, instructions for using the equipment and personal training plans. Golfers can practise in the neighbouring golf facilities with a wide view across dunes and sea. The facilities represent a worthwhile challenge with their narrow fairways and tricky roughs.
Quite an unique achievement for an island: 4000 m² of spa and wellness area. This includes e.g. two salt water outdoor pools with a direct connection to the indoor pool, five different saunas with sea view, a tepidarium with fire place and various rest areas.
The wellness hotel with its wellness oasis has been certified as an original thalassotherapy centre. Guests will benefit from the power of the sea when staying for a week, by doing a thalassotherapy short programme or by just participating in single treatments. An in-house sea water fountain pumps pure North Sea water into the spa for the thalassotherapy treatments as well as into the swimming pool.
Additional benefits include oriental treatments like a Ghasala mud treatment, a Turkish foam massage, which is carried out on a warm hammam bed or an East Asian massage. There is also the opportunity to book a wellness suite or a private spa.
