Full Body Aroma Massage

For an aroma massage, essential oils are mixed with classic base oils

and gently massaged into the skin. It is not only there that they unfold their soothing effect. The different scents may also have a positive effect on the psyche. Whether relaxation or stimulation is desired - from an extensive palette the appropriate fragrances for the most diverse needs can be selected. The aroma massage is based on simple basic techniques of the holistic massage and consists of gentle, flowing strokes with the palm of the hand, deeper strokes with the weight on the ball of the hand and punctual strokes with fingers and thumbs, which are to release tensions explicitly. Aroma oil massages are offered in massage practices, wellness salons or wellness hotels. With regular application body, soul and spirit can be brought in harmony.

How the aroma massage works

Essential oils for massage are made from flowers, leaves, roots and fruits and have a variety of healing powers and positive effects. During the slow and flowing massage strokes, the aromatic oils reach the bloodstream through the skin and thus have an effect on the organism. They stimulate the nervous, blood and lymphatic systems and have a refreshing, warming, cooling or relaxing effect. At the same time, the aroma of the massage oil is absorbed through the nose and transferred to the brain, which can influence the mood, reduce stress, enhance positive feelings and generally increase personal well-being. The aroma is adapted to the individual needs. In a stressful phase of life, for example, an aroma with a relaxing and balancing effect such as lavender oil or peppermint is best suited. Before a fitness program, on the other hand, an invigorating aroma massage with orange, lemon, tangerine or lemongrass is worthwhile in order to create a perfect basis for physical activity.

  • tension and hardening of the muscles
