Body Wrapping

What is body wrapping?

Body wrapping is a combination of aromatherapy and compression bandaging. According to its origins it comes from oedema therapy. Body wrapping involves "wrapping around the body". The wraps are often cling film tied around individual "problem zones".

What are the benefits of body wrapping? What does it do?

The aim of this method is to stimulate the blood and lymph circulation in the tissue, thereby reducing cellulite and tightening the tissue. This is achieved by warming and sweating the body under the wrapping. The fat cells are also compressed by the pressure and a body wrapping treatment can help detoxify.

How does body wrapping work?

Body wrapping is done in two steps. First, the relevant parts of the body are massaged with a so-called body forming cream. Then the body is wrapped in two layers of foil. One layer of foil is wrapped loosely and the other tightly. This is followed by a rest of one hour on a warm lounger. The foil promotes the development of heat and strengthens the blood circulation. As a result, the active ingredients contained in the Body Forming Cream are particularly well absorbed.

Body Wrapping must never be used during pregnancy or in the case of visible varicose veins.

How long does Body Wrapping last?

To see a long-term effect, several applications are necessary. To further enhance the desired effect of body wrapping, you should only drink fluids a few hours before the treatment. The increased fluid intake should make it easier for the body to remove the waste products from the body wrapping more quickly.

How does the body wrapping technique work? Can it be imitated at home?

It is generally not advisable to carry out body wrapping and the wrapping technique at home. A visit to a beauty salon is recommended here. Trained beauticians have a feeling for the right pressure and can perform the wrapping technique correctly.

There is no scientific proof of the effectiveness of body wrapping.
