Wellness dictionary

Little ABC for your spa-break questions ...

In their treatment discriptions, wellness hotels often use technical terms, which are hard to understand for potential guests. We have therefore collected and defined the most relevant terms in our small wellness ABC. A tip: Our wellness dictionary also supports word requests. You don't need to know the exact wording.

Brush Massage

What happens during a brush massage?

The brush massage is conducted with natural hair brushes. The massage always follows the same procedure: It starts at a point that is farest aways from the heart, e.g. on the right foot or on the right hand. The brush is applied in circular movements and has a circulation promoting effect. There are different bristle thicknesses that are individually tailored to the skin type. For dry brushing, brushes with natural bristles, but also loofah sponges or massage products made from rough natural fiber fabrics such as hemp or sisal can be used. Subsequent oiling or creaming increases well-being.
